Co-founder

Marloes (33) has been traveling and discovering new cultures since a young age. She made her first big backpacking trip to Asia. After living in Curaçao for six months, she continued exploring more and more of the world. Beautiful, unique destinations both far away and close to home. 

Madeleen

Co-founder

Madeleen (32) is always planning her next trip. She lived in Sweden for a year during her Master’s in International Marketing. Since then, Scandinavia has felt a bit like a second home. She loves going on adventurous holidays and exploring new cultures and authentic destinations.

The New Journey is here for everyone who loves to travel and is looking for inspiration or sustainable tips. Monthly, we engage with over 40,000 visitors on topics such as travel inspiration, sustainability, nature, culture, delicious (vegetarian) food, and hidden hotspots. The New Journey averages more than 1 million views per month on Google.
